Funding type

Tender Funding

Funding for a business that has already been awarded a tender and needs capital to deliver the work.

What it is

Tender funding, in plain words

It can be used for suppliers, materials, stock and other project costs, with repayment made from the project proceeds. It is deal-specific commercial funding, and the exact structure depends on the funder's agreement. It funds delivery of a tender you have won. It is not a bid bond, which is a guarantee submitted with a tender application.

May not suit you if…

  • The tender hasn't been awarded yet (this funds delivery, not the bid)
  • The project is small enough to fund from normal cash flow
